VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –Valdosta Police put two new high performance police cars on the road.

We took a ride with one officers as he drove it for the first time Tuesday.

Steeda Autosports customized two mustangs purchased by City of Valdosta.

The company says they made the cars safe, more durable, and more efficient than typical police cruisers.

"It handles good," Sgt. Tomas Chavarria.  "It brakes good. It's unreal."

"we did this as a professional courtesy for the city of Valdosta to showcase this throughout the country," said Dario Orlando, the Steeda Autosports President.

The city will also have six crown victoria's upgraded and maintained by Steeda.
