ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  An attorney for the city of Albany had her day before the city manager to appeal a recommendation that she be terminated.

The hearing lasted for five hours behind closed doors Tuesday. In May, City Attorney Nathan Davis recommended one of his employees, Kathy Strang, be fired.

Davis said his recommendation was based on misconduct, negligence,  inefficiency, and the inability to perform required duties.

Strang appealed. City manager Al Lott now has 10 days to decide whether he will uphold or modify Davis' recommendation.
