Albany - Plans to renovate a once popular Albany hotel are falling through, and now the Heritage House may be put up for sale. The General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia bought the hotel on Oglethorpe and planned to renovate the building to host conventions with their churches. But, some city commissioners are frustrated that the eye sore remains. Now the owners have told city officials they may sale the building.

The General Missionary Baptist Convention did not return our calls today. If nothing is done, the city can take the owners to court demanding they demolish the dilapidated hotel.
