ALBANY, GA (WALB) – This Fathers day weekend, Phoebe Putney wants to make sure men are in good health.  Saturday, the hospital will host the 9th annual health fair called Don't wait, check your prostate.

Prostate blood tests, as well as diabetes, blood pressure, body mass index and Cholesterol tests will all be performed for free.   Last year, 500 men attended the event. Organizers hope even more men will show up tomorrow.  You can even get tips to improve your sex life.

Darrell Sabbs said, "We hear all the time men saying, seriously, that it is because they came and they detected something early, either high cholesterol, or it may be even early diagnosis of prostate cancer, but it's because they came here early that they were able to detect it and have time enough to do something about it."

WALB is one of several community sponsors of the health fair.
It starts at 8 AM Saturday morning at Phoebe HealthWorks on 3rd Avenue.
