BROOKS COUNTY, GA (WALB) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into a death in Brooks County that could be heat related.

Around 7 o'clock Thursday night, a man in his early 20's was found dead in a field off Ethridge Road in northern Brooks County.

Sheriff Mike Dewey tells us the land owner found the man, who was picking squash there earlier in the day.

Investigators are trying to find his relatives.

His body was sent to Macon for an autopsy.
