ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Filming of the new Sherwood Baptist Church movie continued today with more stunts and action scenes.

"Courageous" is the story of law enforcement officers and their personal struggles to be good fathers.

Most of the actors and crew are volunteers, but there are a few professionals.

The writers and producers have relied on the Dougherty County Sheriff Office and Albany and Dougherty County Police Departments to give them tips to make the police work realistic.

Producer and writer Stephen Kendrick said  "Captain Dodd with the Sheriff's Office has been giving us counsel, along with Colonel John Ostrander, and the Sheriff for that matter, have given use counsel. As they have looked at the script to make sure the protocol and everything is authentic and realistic."

This is the 31st day of filming. They plan to wrap up in four more days.

"Courageous" is expected to be in the movie theatres in 2012.
