CORDELE, GA (WALB) –A 60-year-old man has been charged with terroristic threats after he told his lawyers he was going to drive his truck into the Social Security office building in Cordele.

Police say Tommy Lee Rogers had been turned down multiple times for Social Security.

He was talking with his lawyers in Indiana when he told them he was going to drive his truck through the Social Security building.

The police were then contacted and put out a BOLO on the suspect. He and his truck were found stuck in a ditch about, two blocks from the building.

Police believe he was on his way to carry out what he was planning to do. He was charged with terroristic threats.
