ALBANY, GA (WALB) – For some folks who have no way to beat the heat or those who work outside the stifling temperatures can cause medical problems.

With heat indices above one hundred anyone sweating will have a hard time staying cool, the high humidity slows the bodies cooling process.

We checked with Dougherty Count EMS about the heat related calls they've responded to.

They have had small number heat related incidents, but all were caught early enough to be treated.
