ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany Technical College is enjoying record enrollment.

A new way to get on to the campus will help the extra traffic flow smoothly.

A ribbon cutting was held today for a new entrance to the campus off Slappey Boulevard.

It features turning lanes and leads to the main parking lot just north of the main administration building.

It leads to both A-T-C and the Department of Labor next door.

Leaders at both say it symbolizes the strong bond between the two.

Dr. Anthony Parker, Albany Tech President said, "we wanted to make sure that we could continue to work hand in glove, because we serve the same clients. We're both in the workforce development business. So we wanted to be able to do it well together."

The new entrance will help pave the way for even more growth on the campus.

It's located next to the new Logistics Education Center which is scheduled to open in March.
