ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State and Savannah State are ready to resume their football series.
The two teams know when they want to play this season but they still have decided where.
Albany State and Savannah State are scheduled to play on September 25th.
The location is still up in the air with a school spokesperson saying earlier this week the game could be played in Waycross. Albany State and Savannah State played in the Music City Classic for 13 years but that game was discontinued six years ago. Division one Savannah State is the only non-conference game for the Golden Rams who hungry to win the SIAC title this fall.
Head coach Mike White said. "You can only hope to improve on what you did last year. If we do a better job this year, we think we can bring it home."
Defensive back Prathon Wilkerson said. "The way we lost three big, key games last year to Fort Valley State, Tuskegee and West Alabama that got us eager to come back and fix the mistakes that we made."
