LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) – A patrol car and a fire and rescue truck collided Friday afternoon, as first responders rushed to the scene of an overturned tractor trailer that spilled chicken manure in Lee County.

The first wreck happened around 2 o'clock Friday.  This semi was headed east on Highway 32 near the Terrell County line when it flipped on its side.

It was carrying chicken manure that spilled into a peanut field.  We don't know what caused the crash, but we're told the driver of the tractor trailer is okay.

Minutes after the first wreck, two emergency crews wrecked as the responded to the scene.  A Lee County deputy and Lee County fire and rescue worker were both headed west on Highway 32 when they wrecked.

The driver of the fire and rescue truck was transported to Phoebe Putney, but he's expected to be okay.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating both crashes.
