TALLAHASSEE, FL (WALB) - A red hot Florida State team hosting Vanderbilt in the Super Regionals this weekend.

The Seminoles are two wins from a second College World Series appearance in the last three years.

Former FSU great Buster Posey let head coach Mike Martin know if was pulling for the Seminoles.

Coach Martin sent Posey a text message Thursday morning congratulating the San Francisco Giants rookie for hitting his first major league homerun Wednesday.

Posey replied promptly to forget about him.

He told his coach that he has a Super Regional to win.

Mike Martin said. "That is Buster Posey. He is still special and he still has got the only locker that has ever been left open by a past Seminole."

Game one of the FSU/Vandy series is 12:00 p.m. Friday and game two is 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
