ALBANY, GA - Jasmine McCreary, age 19, has been released from an Albany hospital.
On May 26, 2010, Ms. McCreary sustained a gunshot wound to the head while sitting at her computer in her apartment.
As a result of her injuries, she sustained severe damage to her frontal lobe which will require extensive cosmetic surgery along with long term rehabilitation.
As she continues her journey on her road to recovery, she will now go back home to Atlanta to receive further treatment at Emory University. This incident has been a life altering experience for the ASU Biology major and has placed a tremendous financial burden on her family.
In order to manage her medical costs for treatment and to assist with her ongoing therapy, a recovery fund has been set up in her name.
