MACON, GA (WALB) - It is not officially summer but the focus on college football is heating up in Georgia.

The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame hosted their annual Pigskin Preview in Macon Tuesday.

The Hall is able to get every college football coach in the state and many of the top players to gather for one day to talk about the coming season.

The first games are still three months away but many coaches know today's preview is a sign they are one step closer to getting back on the field.

Albany State head coach Mike White said. "You get that feel that season is right around the corner. You see a lot of coaches and a lot of familiar faces, your opponents. You get that feeling inside"

Valdosta State head coach David Dean said. "But today it really kind of kicks it off because you realize looking around at all the different teams around here that football is right around the corner. It is exciting. I am ready to go."

Albany State will open the season at Kentucky State on August 28th and Valdosta State plays their first game at home September 4th against Wingate.
