DECATUR COUNTY, GA (WALB) –An observant Decatur County Sheriff's investigator made a meth bust on his day off.

Captain Chip Nix spotted 51-year old Sharon Blyth buying ingredients commonly used to cook meth at a drug store in Bainbridge.

Nix followed her and pulled over Blyth and found a meth pipe in her purse.

Later, during a search of her home, deputies found a meth burn pile in the back yard.

Blyth is charged with possession and manufacturing meth.

Authorities say she was charged with manufacturing meth in 2008 but those charges were later dropped.
