Atlanta, GA - (WALB) - The Georgia Supreme court today upheld the murder conviction of a Broxton man convicted of killing his roommate and hiding his body in a freezer.
Richard Cutrer, also known as Richard Cutter, was convicted in the murder of Zaran Claude Watts in June 2005.
Court records show Watts had about $13,000 hidden in a sock from the sell of inherited land in Mississippi.
A fellow inmate testified that Watts was killed with a mallet for the money when Watts refused to use his cash to buy Meth.
His body was kept in a freezer at his home in Broxton for two months before authorities found it.
