ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  The Dougherty County Commission finance committee is now recommending only five unpaid holidays for county employees, rather than 12 originally proposed.

The reduction is due to last minute negotiations with Phoebe Putney for medical services at the county jail.

Phoebe has reduced its proposed bid to $700,000 for the first year, instead of $1.4 Million, in exchange for the possibility of two additional years of providing that service.
