Reds' Knight visits Albany

Albany residents may have been surprised to see Ray Knight in town today.

The Cincinnati Reds bench coach is on a medical leave this weekend.

He will undergo a procedue to have kidney stone crushed Friday and return to Cincinnati Monday when the Reds get back from a road trip.

Knight, who was fired as manager of the Reds in 1997, returned to the organization last year to serve as bench coach for manager Bob Boone.

Knight says returning to coaching is kid of like finding the fountain of youth for him.

 Ray Knight said "It make you feel young with those young guys and I am looking forward to getting back."

The Cincinnati Reds beat Colorado 7-2 Thursday afternoon in Denver for the seventh win in their last ten games.
