ALBANY, GA (WALB) – On Saturday there was a special party "A Celebration of Life" for those who survived cancer.
The annual event recognizes survivors, their supporters, and those professionals dedicated to cancer treatment and research.
"Many of these people have been coming over the years, it's good to see them, and they're still doing well. For our new patients they see other survivors and say these people have been coming all this time, they look good and I can do it too," said Patricia Swain, Outreach Coordinator & 10 year survivor.
It's the 17th year Phoebe has hosted the event.
Saturday's party coincides with of National Cancer Survivors Day.
