A new flag pole stands tall at Albany Ford

May 1, 2003

Albany- When you pass by Albany Ford in the next few days, you'll see a flagpole that has stood over military units since World War II.

Workers with Jack Ivey Signs are currently installing a 50-foot flagpole in the center of the Albany Ford property. This flagpole first stood at Turner Field during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Albany Ford owner, Brack Greer, says he and his partners felt installing the flagpole was the right thing to do to show their patriotism and support of the country.

Albany Ford owner, Brack Greer, says, "When I see the American flag, it makes me so proud. Just seeing the flag fly and spreading patriotism, that's wonderful."

Jack Ivey Signs workers say they will continue the flag pole installation Friday. They plan to raise the flag on the pole on Monday.
