Albany-- A dangerous mixture of prescription and illegal drugs is found in Dougherty County.
Thirty-one-year-old Kelvin Potts was arrested Wednesday night on drug charges at his home on Pinto Drive in South Dougherty County. Investigators seized 38 hits of ecstasy, a half ounce of cocaine divided into seven small bags.
But what worried them most were the Viagra, pain pills, and vitamins they seized. Taking ecstasy or methamphetamine, along with Viagra, is called "Sextasy."
The combination of stimulants and depressants is growing in popularity, but is dangerous. "The hallucinogenic effects of the ectasy, the effects of the Viagra," said Major Bill Berry of the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit. "The person can lose control of his thoughts or the capacity to think. They can become very seriously infected, and become a danger to themselves or to someone around them."
Sextasy is also called "hammerheading" or "trailmix" by drug users. Potts is being held in the Dougherty County jail.
