ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Georgia joins the rest of the nation in requiring adults in pickup trucks to wear seat belts. Thursday, Governor Sonny Perdue signed the bill into law.  It goes into effect July 1st.

Georgia was the only state that exempted adults in pickup trucks from wearing seat belts. They now have to buckle up on public roads, but farmers working their fields are still exempt.
