Bulldogs fans excited about new look UGA team

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Bulldog football program has been the model of stability under head coach Mark Richt.

With the Bulldogs struggling to keep opponents out of the endzone, the coach decided big changes were needed.

The new 3-4 defense was one of many topics southwest Georgia Bulldog fans wanted to hear from the head dog during coach Richt's annual visit to Albany Wednesday night.

 

The quarterback position also a popular topic at the Doublegate Country Club.

As for the defense, Richt says it was not fun having to dismiss three loyal assistants but new defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and defensive assistants Warren Belin and Scott Lakatos have brought new energy into the program.

Georgia opens the season on September 4th against Louisiana-Lafayette.
