Once the dust settled in New York at the end of the annual NFL draft, the teams then got busy signing those players whose names were called out.
One of those is former Early County High School standout Recardo Wimbush.
Wimbush was a four-year starter at Georgia Tech where he is 11th all time in tackles and earned all-conference honors this past season when he was second on the Yellow Jacket defense in tackles.
The Falcons also signed Auburn tight end Robert Johnson and safety Travaris Robinson.
Atlanta also signed two Arkansas Razorbacks-- running back Fred Talley and defensive end Raymond House.
Other free agent signings are offensive tackles Ulish Booker from Michigan State, Michael Saffer of UCLA and Furman's Steven Cain. Wide receiver Jamal Burke from Boston College, linebacker Ben Mahdavi out of Washington and Colorado State punter John Huber.
All 13 are expected to report to the Falcons mini-camp later this week.
