Albany - Dougherty County may start flying an additional flag on it's flagpole. On Monday, the American Legion asked county commissioners to display the "Support the Troops Flag" in front of courthouse. The flag has already made its way through city commissioners hands and got misplaced along the way.

"When came to find out that the flagpole belongs to the county and so county commissioners must approve our flag request," said American Legion Commander G.C. Croft .

While not guaranteeing the flag will be flown out front, Commissioners did promise to display the flag somewhere.

The American Legion has sold hundreds of the flags. And, they're still available for $45.
