Peter Watson's body is found after twelve day search

April 27, 2003

Newton- Members of Peter Watson's family sit in agony and sadness. They can't believe the knee-baby of the family was murdered. Watson's sister, Crystal McCloria says, " This is so hard for my family, especially our mother, but we are maintaining."

On Thursday, Magnolia Plantation worker, Warren Miller, found a dead body in an irrigation ditch on the Plantation in Calhoun County. Now, authorities confirm Miller found Peter Watson's body.

Watson was reported missing twelve days ago. His car was found on Old Millford Road, with both doors open, and the keys still in the ignition. Police did not fingerprint the car because they did not suspect foul play at the time.

Watson's sister, Crystal, says her brother didn't deserve to die this way, and she hopes whoever is responsible is brought to justice. She adds, "We just hope whoever this will be found and they can pay for what they have done."

Police have no suspects at this time. They say Peter Watson's murder is an ongoing investigation. The Watson family is in the process of making funeral arrangements for Peter.
