ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Tiftarea Panthers are four wins away from second straight GISA AA state baseball title.
Panthers head coach Chris Howell returned just four starters from last year's title team.
Tiftarea overcame a game one letdown last week to beat Bulloch to reach the semifinals. The Panthers will host Brentwood Thursday afternoon. Coach Howell believes the key to the Panthers postseason success the last two years has been their patience and hard work. Chris Howell said. "I
t is not how you start. It is how you finish. That is what we try to work on here. So far so good and it has been a fun little ride."
The series starts at 1:00 p.m. with a doubleheader on Thursday in Chula.
The third game if played is Saturday.
