ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Phoebe Putney Hospital is  feeding E-M-S workers this week during National EMS Week.

The hospital provided bar-b-que to Lee County workers Wednesday.

The County has four E-M-S stations and 35 full time paramedics.  Phoebe's Emergency Center Director says those paramedics save lives.

Phoebe Putney Emergency Center Director Todd Braswell said   "they are the front line of emergency care. They bring the hospital to the house. They take care of you on the scene."

Lee County EMS Director Bobby Watkins said "We appreciate it. Just this week we've had phone calls and people come up to us and tells us they appreciate the jobs we do."

This week Phoebe is delivering lunches to honor E-M-S services in Dougherty, Lee, Baker, Mitchell,  Terrell, and Worth Counties.
