ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission will partner with Georgia Power to market the shuttered Cooper Tire plant.

Georgia Power's Georgia Rescue Center has a three dimensional simulation program that can be used to copy the inside of the Cooper Tire & Rubber Corporation facility.

That will allow interested prospects to see how the building could meet their needs.

"Change the look, change the face, change the interior of the building to allow a prospect to look at it and see how they can make that building work for their particular use it's a great tool in trying to help sell the building," said Ted Clem, Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission Exec. Director

EDC Executive Director Ted Clem says there have been prospects looking at several of Albany's empty buildings, but no one has been willing to commit yet.
