PHOENIX, AZ (WALB) - Darton golf coach Dale Dover is very happy with the start his team has gotten at the NJCAA Division II tournament.
The Cavaliers open with a 289 and are tied with South Mountain Community College of Arizona for the first round lead.
Mesa C.C. is two shots back in third.
Darton's Taylor Wellborn leads the individual scoring with a 68.
The Cavaliers also got a 73 from Trey McQuaig and 74's from Roy Steinberg and Jared Wagenaar.
Josh Cone shot 76 with the second round on Wednesday.
