VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –A gubernatorial candidate is now out of the hospital after a car crash.

Carl Camon and his wife, Angela, were injured Monday when their car was rear-ended in Nashville.

They were treated at South Georgia Medical Center and released Monday night.

The Camons were no at fault in the wreck.

49-year old Irshad Mohammad of Tifton, who ran into them, is charged with following too closely.

Carl Camon, whose the former mayor of Ray City, is a Democratic gubernatorial candidate.
