MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Colquitt County's Billy Edwards decided at the end of his senior season he would like to play college golf.
Edwards starts towards that goal by signing with Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City, Alabama.
Central Alabama is one of the top division one junior college teams in the nation and is playing in the national tournament this weekend.
Central Alabama is also located close to Auburn and Edwards goal is to sign with an SEC school in two years.
Billy Edwards said. "The SEC is probably the toughest place to play college golf. I am just excited to try and do it."
Billy Edwards will play in the annual coaches north/south high school all-star matches in three weeks at the Sunset Country Club.
