BLAKELY, GA (WALB) - Early County's Nett Reed had a tough choice to make in college.
Nett Reed signed a track scholarship with Western Kentucky Tuesday morning at Early County High School.
Reed won nine state track titles including four straight in the AA long jump and three in the 400 meter dash. Reed was also a four time all-region basketball player with the Lady Bobcats and had an basketball offer from the University of Houston. Believing track is her best sport, Nett chose Western Kentucky which has won 14 straight Sun Belt conference titles. The track coach also has told Nett she can walk on for the Lady Hilltoppers basketball team.
Nett Reed said. "He said I could do both. He said why not do both. He gave me that option and I took it." Reed set state records in winning the AA triple jump and the AA 400m dash at the GHSA girls state track meet two weeks ago.
