ALBANY, GA (WALB) –A Detroit Police Department Lieutenant is leading a three day training seminar for Albany Police.

Harold Rochon talked with APD supervisors the first day about ethics, leadership, and supervision.

Rochon comes to Albany through the Target Group, a non-profit organization that provides training on violence prevention for law enforcement. He said that police leadership must keep up with cultural changes, and stay motivated.

Police consultant Lt. Harold Rochon said  "We become complacent . Every single person that's alive is in a position where they can become complacent. Doing the same job so it's important to get as much training as possible."

Rochon has been working on street gang investigations with the Detroit Police since 1986, and will train the Albany Police Officers on gang prevention Wednesday.
