News release from the candidate's campaign office

Mr. Carl L. Camon, candidate for governor of Georgia and his wife Angela, were released from South Georgia Medical Center (Valdosta, GA) late Monday evening and returned to their private residence in Ray City.

Mr. Camon was treated for injuries while his wife was treated for an accident related seizure and other injuries.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Camon will be evaluated by their private physicians later today.

Mr. Camon's campaign manager, Jameson Brewer, has canceled Mr. Camon's campaign appearances for this week with the exception of a televised interview that was previously scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Mr. Brewer will appear and speak on behalf on Mr. Camon on the Alley Pat Show this evening at 7 P.M.

The Camon's are expected to recover soon.  Mr. Camon is fully committed to continuing his campaign for governor saying, "Nothing will stop us.  We will fight to the end.  We will be the voice of Georgia's educators, workers, and families as we will continue to spread our message of HOPE."

The Camon's would like to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes.
