ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Plenty of trophies, letter jackets and other awards handed out at the annual Monroe High athletic banquet Monday night.
The girls track team won another state title and the boys finished second in the state.
While the football team made the state playoffs and both basketball teams made the sweet 16.
The biggest news is the number of senior athletes who earned college scholarships.
Athletic Director/Head Football Coach Charles Truitt said. "One thing about our coaches is they work very hard to put these kids in the position they are in tonight. We are just celebrating the success all of our sports programs have had over the past year.
The seniors on the Monroe football team won a school record 29 games.
