ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Darton College feeling everything is coming together in time of the biggest tournament of the season.

That includes the game of sophomore Roy Steinberg.

Steinberg, who moved from Israel two years ago to concentrate on his golf game, had been a disappointment since signing out of the David Leadbetter Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Head coach Dale Dover says being away from his family and learning to handle the demands of school and golf took their toll on Steinberg.

Roy's game turned around when his father visited his son for the first time since Steinberg signed at Darton.

The lessons from dad paid off with Roy winning the medalist title at the region tournament.

Roy Steinberg said. "He helps me out all the time. Organizing stuff. Help me with the game. He came before and he was happy to see the win."

Dale Dover "His daddy will be there. I will promise you that, no question about that. Like I said he is real comfortable when his dad is around."

The NJCAA Division II golf tournament starts Tuesday in Phoenix, Arizona.
