One of the nation's top junior college basketball programs has landed one of Southwest Georgia's top players.
Randolph-Clay center Travious Powell, the younger brother of Donnell Harvey of the NBA's Denver Nuggets, signed a scholarship to play for Okaloosa-Walton Junior College in Niceville, Florida this morning.
Randolph-Clay coach Joe Williams says Harvey averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots his senior year for the Red Devils who won 24 games before losing in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament.
Travious Powell joins an Okaloosa-Walton team that made it to the National Junior College tournament in Hutchinson Kansas in a 31 win season for the Raiders.
