TAMPA, FL (WALB) - The Albany State Rams showed they can play with the best in the south region.
Unfortunately, Rollins scores a run in the bottom of the eighth to beat the Rams 9-8 at the NCAA DII South Regional elimination game.
The loss ends the season for the Rams at 33-17.
Albany State scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 8.
Rollins will now play Valdosta State on Saturday.
The GSC champion Blazers were routed 17-7 by Tampa.
The Spartans jumped out to an early 11-0 lead and coasted to the victory.
