Man arrested after two-county chase

QUITMAN, GA (WALB) -

QUITMAN, GA - (WALB) - A man driving a stolen pick up truck is in jail after a high speed chase that started in Thomas County.

After seeing his truck being a stolen around 7:00 Friday morning, a Coolidge man followed the suspect into Brooks County.

That's when Brooks County deputies got involved and chased the suspect at speeds of 100 miles per hour.

Deputies cleared the school zones and the chase ended at the intersection of Courtland Avenue and Highway 333.

The suspect put up a fight with officers before he was taken into custody.
