ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Residents at Palmyra Nursing home took a trip back in time Thursday, and experienced the day as if they were living in another time period.

As a part of National Nursing Home week, organizers declared today "Old Fashioned Day" at the nursing home.

Residents got to dance to Disco Music and shell butter beans and peas

The Artesian Car Club brought in several antique cars, which for some brought back some good memories.

"Oh I loved the cars," said Barbara Davis, a Palmyra Nursing Home Resident. "I loved cars before I loved men. Now I love men and cars!"

"This one makes me think of my daddy's car growing up, but it was gray," said Mary Philmon.

The week will end with a special cookout for all the residents.
