LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) – Three men were hospitalized after a truck flipped over Wednesday afternoon in Lee County.

The driver was ejected.

45-year old Steven Layton was driving on Old Stage Road around five o'clock. Troopers say he lost control on the dirt road. His Dodge Ram pickup struck a tree and flipped.

"The driver stated he was traveling the dirt road and the back end got lose and he hit a tree head on. It (the truck) spun around and landed on its side," Trooper Jeff Hobby, Georgia State Patrol.

Layton was treated and released from Phoebe Putney Hospital.

Two passengers in his truck were also hospitalized. We're not sure the extent of their injuries.

Troopers say none of the men was wearing seat belts.
