FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) – State fire investigators are trying to figure out what started an early morning fire that destroyed a Fitzgerald business and house.

Investigators tell us Dixie Land Farms Nursery on Broxton Highway caught fire a little before 3 o'clock Wednesday morning.

Three structures on the property were destroyed, including two green houses and a house.

Darryl McDonald owns the nursery but was not inside when the fire started.

The fire caused more than $100,000 worth of damage.

Investigators say they have not ruled out arson as a cause.
