VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta State looks to keep the roll going in the NCAA south regionals.
The Blazers didn't have to sweat the regional announcements.
Head coach Greg Guilliams squad knew they were guaranteed a berth after winning the Gulf South Conference tournament last week.
The tournament title lets the Blazers know they have the talent to make it to the DII World Series though four teams in this eight team regional are ranked among the top ten in the nation.
Coach Guilliams believes his team has had time to move on after winning the Gulf South title.
Greg Guilliams said. "I hope you can put yourself in position where you can win the tournament. There are no guarantees but we are hopeful we are playing our best baseball of the season. If we do that, I think we will have a chance."
Valdosta State plays at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning against West Florida at the University of Tampa.
