ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Monroe head football coach Charles Truitt is having to say goodbye to a senior class that has won the most games in school history over a four year span.

Tornado quarterback Justin Pride Wednesday became the sixth member of the Monroe senior class to sign a football scholarship.

Pride will take his rocket arm to play at Morehouse College.

A two-year starter, Pride has thrown for more than 2700 yards in his career including 12 touchdown passes last fall in his senior season.

Justin is excited about the chance to stay under center in college.

Justin Pride said "I just feel like I can better myself at Morehouse. They are going to provide me with the best education possible."

Principal Johnny Scott says the six football players to sign scholarships is a one year record at Monroe.
