LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -  The Lee County Trojans are a hot baseball team right now.

The Trojans know they need to continue their good play in the second round of the state playoffs Wednesday.

Lee County is on the road to play 4th ranked Lakeside-Evans.

Trojans coach Rob Williams says this is the first state playoff series his team has played away from Leesburg in ten years.

Lee County has won 13 of their last 16 games but face a Lakeside team that lost just four games this season.

Head coach Rob Williams knows his team has to play well to beat the Panthers on their home field.

Williams said. "They throw the ball extremely well. They are very good on defense and they put the bat on the ball. We are going to have to play good defense and we are going to have to hit with them. We have some pretty pitchers we can throw out there at them. So, we feel pretty good about it."

Game one of a doubleheader starts at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in Evans and a third game if played is Thursday.
