Moody pilot ejected from jet

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, GA (WALB) – A Moody Air Force Base pilot is being treated for injuries at a Valdosta hospital after he ejected from his jet.

The A-10 C caught fire after the pilot ejected during takeoff around 5 o'clock Monday night.

The plane came to rest in the infield between runways.

Emergency crews rushed in to treat the pilot and extinguish the aircraft and a grass fire it ignited.
