
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Early County's Nett Reed finished up a brilliant career with a bang on Saturday at the GHSA state track meet. Not only did the senior win the 400 meter dash for the 3rd time in her career, she set a new state record with a time of 55.57 seconds.
"It feels real good that I'm going to leave behind my name and that I set a record it just feels real good right now I'm so excited" said Reed.
Reed also set a new state record in the triple jump on Friday and finished her career with eight individual championships. The Early County girls finished in 5th place.
