Family offers reward in murder case

April 22, 2003

Albany- 32-year old Willie Gipson was beaten to death last November, and police have few leads. They have questioned one man, but investigators won't call him a suspect.

Now, Gipson's mother and siblings have offered up to a $1,500 reward for information about the murder.

"It's really hard. Its not a day that passes by, I think about him every day, all day because we were close. We used to talk every day," says Georgia Hayles, Gipson's mother.

If you have any information about the case contact Lt. Eddie Jones at 431-3288. Your identity will be kept confidential.
