ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Residents at an Albany senior center got a special treat Friday night.

With Mother's Day just around the corner, Albany Police AmeriCorps cadets put on a fashion show for all the mothers, and everyone else at Hudson Malone.

"People just need others to come see about them from time to time," said Marcus Cunningham, AmeriCorps

"Some of them won't get to go home or be with their families so we try to do something to make life a bit easier," said Marie Ball, Tenant's Association.

"For me it's good to come out here because my grandfather lives here so it's a chance for me to see him and show him we have fun," said Rashad Clark, AmeriCorps.

The cadets are planning other events for residents at Hudson Malone Towers, including movie nights and a talent show.
